- Sometimes I go to plays or other events downtown, and I would like to be
- able to park once (e.g. Sutter & Stockton garage) and eat dinner and then
- walk to the site of entertainment. (This Saturday, for example, I'll be
- seeing a play at Geary @ Mason.) The Union Square area seems to have
- plenty of department stores, but not very many restaurants, and those that
- I've seen there look somewhat overpriced. Can anyone recommend a good
- place to eat in that area? It doesn't have to be dirt-cheap, but I don't
- like feeling ripped off, y'know?
-
- BTW, has anyone tried Val 21 on Valencia (which is in the Mission, not
- downtown)? I read a good review and am thinking of taking some friends
- there, but would like to hear first-hand opinions.
