- An appropriate amount of Radio Inspectors funded from license fees would drive
- out the unwanted elements. As for the cost of equipment, a baycom modem
- including software can be purchased for only $125. If the cb packet band was on
- VHF, then modified handhelds costing as little as $299 could be used. Total
- equipment cost of between $425 and $500 would, I think, be acceptable.

- Despite the obvious difficulties from time to time with the cb band
- (voice) it has proved popular and its existence justified especially
- its emergency uses from time to time.
