- HOW TO USE AUS.ACS.BOOKS
- AND ITS INDEX
-
- Aus.acs.books has been established to assist in the working of the Book
- Review section of the Australian Computer Journal, Australia's national
- serious computing journal. Readers are referred to a separate posting on
- the working of the Book Review Section, in recruiting reviewers, and
- in publishing reviews.
-
- 1. How to use the index.
-
- Accompanying this document is an index of reviews most recently posted to
- the newsgroup.
-
- Each review is identified by a number of the form 'bxxxi.r', where xxx is a
- three digit number, e.g. b201.r.
-
- The accompanying index contains an entry corresponding to each number giving
- a full formal reference to each review. If you feel a particular review
- appeals to you - judged by the abbreviated title appearing in the subject
- entry on your newsreader, save the index and look up the full title via
- the bxxx.r number.
-
- Probably the best thing to do is first of all to save the index, then make
- a mental list of those of interest, and then access the index and review.
-
-
- 2. Refer to Ground rules
-
- As stated above, there is a separate posting detailing the operation of
- aus.acs.books more formally. Readers are advised to refer to it.
-
- 3. Frequency of publication.
-
- Operation of aus.acs.books document:
- will be posted regularly for readers reminder and information.
- How to use the index document:
- will also be posted regularly.
- Index:
- will be posted with each new set of reviews.
- Reviews:
- will be posted as available.
- List of Books Available for Review:
- will be posted at irregular intervals as needed.
-
- The above constitute the set of documents which will constitute the
- "aus.acs.books working set".
-
- 4. Remember

- Associate Editor is reiterated:
