  21. For anyone in the Surfrider foundation (or anyone else who's 
  22. interested), there is an article in this month's Surfer magazine 
  23. about some internal strife at the Surfrider Foundation following 
  24. their winning of a big settlement with some pulp mill.

  26. It seems that the lawyer that brought the case to the attention of 
  27. the Foundation and did much of the work on the case, wanted more 
  28. payment than his contract called for.  The board of the Surfrider 
  29. Foundation split over what to do about it (one group backed the lawyer
  30. and one group wanted to stick with the contract).  See the article for
  31. more details.

  33. However, the good news is that it seems the problems at the board level
  34. will have little affect on the grass roots volunteer groups so the 
  35. Foundation will probably survive.
