- I did the same thing this year with a `71 Elan. All I did was
- spray grease-remover on the outside, wait 10 minutes, then spray off with water (it was reaaaaaly greasy). Then for the inside,
- I just flushed it with fresh gas several times while cleaning it
- with an old toilet bowl brush that I straightened out.

- After making sure there was no "debris" left, I reinstalled it.
- Haven't had a problem. However, there is a stain at the bottom
- where the old gas had been sitting, and it's still there. No
- problems, though.
