- I don't think Metallica "sold out"; I think it's possible their own desire
- to change their musical direction somewhat coincided with the tastes of
- people into not as heavy of stuff. I was disappointed with their latest
- release at first, but now I'd have to assess it as a good very, very
- hard rock release (as opposed to their speed metal stuff). It's not
- as intense as Lightning through Justice, but I'd probably take it over
- Kill 'Em All, and it's definitely lyrically more impressive. People
- that accuse metallica of being sell-outs generally apply the "sell-out"
- label in a cliche' fashion. It will be interesting to see what their
- next release is like. Eric M.
