- > Cranach turned and headed towards the back room, the eyes
- > of the Captain following. He knocked on the door,
-
- Hearing a knock at the door Mr. Briggs said to the dwarf
- "Don't let anyone see your books". Mr. Briggs started to gather up his
- map not wanting uninvited eyes looking at it.
-
- > heard a muffled reply and quick shuffling of paper and entered the room.
-
- > Within the room were a wee man and a dwarf.
-
- > "Ah Bragg !", exclaimed Cranach, " It is good to
- > see you again. How's that little health problem
- > you had after I introduced you to those two half
- > orc/half wee people women ?"
-
- Barnabus recognized that voice, "Oh, dear not him. I barely got out
- of that village alive." His face started to turn red as he tried to
- hide his dismay.
-
- > Noting Briggs rising flush, Cranach laughed a hearty
- > laugh.
-
- > "I hear through the tavern gossip that you are
- > intending to make an attempt on Mor-Ganth, and
- > since I find myself tiring of this pathetique
- > village and since You owe me a favour...then
- > I will join you", smiled Cranach.
-
- > "Ooooo...errrr", said Mr Brigg, blushing
- > mightliy, " all right, as long as you keep
- > quiet about the other favour I owe you !".
-
- [ADMIN: The above statement is really the following]
-
- "Ooh.. err, Now wait just a minute. You may have saved my life, but I
- got a bum leg out of the incident. You could have found a less
- destructive means of saving my life. For that you can join my group to
- Mor-Ganth. But, don't you think for a minute I owe you another favor.
- A deal is a deal. I can't help it, if that Item I sold you was cursed."
-
- > Mr Brigg's response replaced embarrasment with anger,
- > for the moment.
-
- > Quickly, Cranach grasped the halfling's forearm, and
- > closed the agreement .
-
- Turning to the Dwarf, Briggs said "I like you to meet Cranach Wynn, he's not
- your typically rouge. If you give him a chance I'm sure you'll grow to like
- him". Turning back to Cranach "And this is... Oh dear, I didn't get your
- name." Mr. Briggs turned to the Dwarf expecting some kind of response.
