- My understanding was that the Bachman pen-name was exposed *after* Thinner
- was published by a nosy reporter. Unless you believe in Oliver Stone-ish
- conspiracy theories, I suspect King did *not* reveal his authorship to
- sell more Thinner books. He used the pseudonym to write different stories
- from the supernatural novels he was already (in)famous for. Why would he
- blow a well-guarded secret to make a few more million? After all, he
- has lamented that he had wanted Misery to be the next Bachman book...

- Now, after the secret was out, I'm sure the publisher couldn't resist
- taking advantage of the situation. I don't see King as the villain here.
