- What ho old chaps,
-
- Add me to the list of delighted people to find a Wodehouse newsgroup. (At last)
-
- A suggestion: From my first readings of the articles, the most delightful are
- the vignettes...I don't know of any Wodehouse fan who can't dip into a book at
- random and shortly thereafter be spotted with a beatific smile on his/her face.
-
- So everyone, do share your favourite (and that is favourite not favorite)
- passages. Maybe we could even have a small survey and "elect" the ten best
- ones: Our personal gems, so to say. The idea being of course that in the
- process we can all wallow in the "Master's best".
-
- Here are a couple of mine:
-
- "She had a laugh which sounded like a train going through a tunnel."
-
- "(He) bore the hangdog expression of an Englishman who is about to speak
- French."
-
- ...
-
- Ciao (or, more appropriately: pip, pip)
-
