  13. First, a question: does anyone know of any Wodehouse translations?  The task
  14. seems impossible to me.  I remember an essay burbling about the impossibility
  15. of translating the Master into French...  (reference, old thing?)

  17. Wherefore I propose, fellow Drones, a brief sporting flutter.  Let us create:

  19.             THE GREAT TRANSLATION HANDICAP

  21. Competitors select any three paragraphs of Wodehouse and translate them
  22. into any other language.  The paragraphs don't have to be consecutive; in 
  23. fact, it might be far more interesting to select whatever three paragraphs you
  24. think best show off the Master's wonderful command of the pliable tongue.  Post
  25. results to the net.
