  11.            A small note on the subject of magic use in Middle-Earth.
  12. Isildur was able to put a curse on the men of Dunharrow when they
  13. refused to fight against Mordor. As a result of this curse the
  14. oath-breakers died out as a people and their ghosts were forced to
  15. haunt the "Paths of the Dead" for a whole age of Middle-Earth until
  16. they had kept their oath by answering to the heir of Isildur.
