  18. I agree with you completely about Wagner, especially his Ring Cycle.  Some
  19. of my favorite music, although I "discovered" Wagner a lot later in life 
  20. than I did Tolkien.

  22. As for a summary of the plot of the Ring, try to find a copy of "The (First)
  23. Anna Russel Farewell Concert."  She gives a complete, accurate, and very
  24. funny musical summary of the whole thing in about ten minutes.  The text
  25. would probably be under six pages long, if it were copied out, but it 
  26. wouldn't be nearly as funny.
