  30. to know that statistics never, ever "mathematically and conclusively
  31. " prove anything. The 90% confidence is just that. That, based upon
  32. our number of people surveyed, we can say that, assuming normality,
  33. the true per centage of gays will be covered by this region 9 out
  34. of ten times. It certainly supports the belief that <10% are gay
  35. But, unfortunately, you are using statistics the way that
  36. a drunk uses a lamp-post. For support rather than illumination.
