  11. Ok, I have a couple....

  13. I've seen Frank three times, in 77 at the Armadillo in Austin,Texas
  14. (no not THAT concert, but with the Zoot Allures band or parts there-of)
  15. Lots of Panties thrown on stage for that one...the Asshole song and 
  16. Dinoh-moe humm seemed like the highlight of the show..bozzio donned the
  17. demon mask..and in the midst of Dinah-moe there was Dylan imitation
  18. which was totally excellent.(aside- that was a great year for music
  19. in Austin..I got to see the Fab Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray, Roy Buchanon,
  20. and Al Dimeola in various venues and STREET PERFORMANCES..Willie Nelson
  21. was king then..for what it was worth)

  23. Then in 1981 0r 2 at the Hartford Civic Center. This was one of those 
  24. shows where you go with a bunch of friends and laugh the whole way
  25. through. I remember the closing was that killer version of WHipping Post
  26. but frank hardly, if ever, played guitar. Afterwards, I went to go see
  27. the "dead-clone" band of New England (name temporarily forgotten) and I 
  28. was hanging in the back and then...There was Frank!..he was with his
  29. huge bodyguard..I went up to him and thanked him for the show...he
  30. was uh...not very interested in meeting fans..but he did shake my hand
  31. and refuse my offer to buy him a ginger-ale...

  33. and I caught the 88 show in boston(second night) which was absolutely 
  34. incredible. The best band I ever heard in my life. No stories about this
  35. here but I saw frank peering out the window of his limo as he left the 
  36. theater (and I headed to a bar). Needless to say, these aren't very
  37. inspiring tales but I'm happy to have caught the live act, it only
  38. enhances the appreciation I have for Zappa.
