  12. was the result of an attempt to see how insipidly stupid a song could be
  13. made into a hit if it had famous people behind it and a good tune.

  15. They were successful, but such should be disqualified for a worst song of
  16. all time contest, which should pick as a winner a song that was stupid
  17. but which the artists involved actually meant seriously.
