- Speaking of anarchist books, does anyone remember Abbie Hoffmans book titled
- "Steal this book"? I remember reading parts of it about 20 years ago and some
- of the scams in it actually worked back then. For instance, you used to be able
- to call the operator and claim you made a phone call and the line was busy but
- the phone didn't give you your dime back. The operator would then connect you
- for free :) That trick stopped working years ago and now the operator takes
- your name and MaBell will send you a check for 20cents (At least that's the way
- it was the last time I tried 15 years ago). The reason I'm asking about this
- book is because I remember so little about it. Any one remember this book and
- have any reviews/opinions? Is this book more or less "full of it" as well?
- BTW: I was only about 13 when I last saw the book, so please understand my
- level of gullability at the time.
