  12.      Both the "ECKANKAR" and "SANT MAT" Organizations PROHIBIT their Initiates
  13. from using illegal drugs, except in doctors' prescriptions.  Addicts can get
  14. help in recovering by means of the "AUDIBLE LIFE STREAM" referred to in the
  15. following article:

  18.                              THE DIVINE MASTERS       
  19.       
  20.                Most Christians would agree, and correctly so, that 
  21.           Jesus Christ was a perfect living Master, and a projection of 
  22.           God into the physical world, God Incarnate. 
  23.           
  24.                But there are some very important related facts that 
  25.           Christians are COMPLETELY IGNORANT of, as are followers of 
  26.           most other world religions. 
  27.            
  28.                First, Jesus Christ was NOT unique, John 3:16 NOTWITH-
  29.           STANDING.  There is ALWAYS at least one such perfect living 
  30.           Master (God Incarnate) PHYSICALLY ALIVE in this world AT ALL 
  31.           TIMES, a continuous succession THROUGHOUT HISTORY, both 
  32.           before and after the life of Jesus. 
  33.     
  34.                The followers of some of these Masters founded the 
  35.           world's major religions, usually PERVERTING the teachings of 
  36.           their Master in the process.  Christians, for example, added 
  37.           THREATS of "ETERNAL DAMNATION" in Hell, and DELETED the 
  38.           teaching of REincarnation. 
  39.        
  40.                Secondly, and more importantly, after a particular 
  41.           Master physically dies and leaves this world, there is 
  42.           NOTHING that He can do for ANYbody except for the relatively 
  43.           few people that He INITIATED while He was still physically 
  44.           alive.  (That is simply the way God set things up in the 
  45.           Universes.) 
  46.  
  47.                Therefore, all those Christians who worship Jesus, and 
  48.           pray to Jesus, and expect Jesus to return and save them from 
  49.           their sins, are only KIDDING THEMSELVES, and have allowed 
  50.           themselves to be DUPED by a religion that was mostly 
  51.           MANUFACTURED by the Romans. 
  52.       
  53.                And emotional "feelings" are a TOTALLY DECEIVING 
  54.           indicator for religious validity. 
  55.     
  56.                These things are similarly true for followers of most 
  57.           other major world religions, including Islam. 
  58.      
  59.                Thirdly, the primary function of each Master is to tune 
  60.           His Initiates into the "AUDIBLE LIFE STREAM" or "SOUND 
  61.           CURRENT", (referred to as "THE WORD" in John 1:1-5, and as 
  62.           "The River of Life" in Revelation 22:1), and to personally 
  63.           guide each of them thru the upper levels of Heaven while they 
  64.           are still connected to their living physical bodies by a 
  65.           "silver cord". 
  66.     
  67.                True Salvation, which completes a Soul's cycles of 
  68.           REincarnation in the physical and psychic planes, is achieved 
  69.           only by reaching at least the "SOUL PLANE", which is five 
  70.           levels or universes above the physical universe, and this 
  71.           canNOT be done without the help of a Perfect LIVING Master.

  73.                One such perfect Master alive today is an American, Sri 
  74.           Harold Klemp, the Living "Eck" Master or "Mahanta" for the 
  75.           "Eckankar" organization, now headquartered in Minneapolis, 
  76.           (P.O. Box 27300;  zip 55427).

  78.                Another perfect living Master is Maharaj Gurinder Singh 
  79.           Ji, now living in Punjab, India, and is associated with the 
  80.           "Sant Mat" organization. 
  81.       
  82.                One of the classic books on this subject is "THE PATH OF 
  83.           THE MASTERS" (Radha Soami Books, P.O. Box 242, Gardena, CA  
  84.           90247), written in 1939 by Dr. Julian Johnson, a theologian 
  85.           and surgeon who spent the last years of his life in India 
  86.           studying under and closely observing the Sant Mat Master of 
  87.           that time, Maharaj Sawan Singh Ji. 
  88.     
  89.                Several of the Eckankar books, including some authored 
  90.           by Sri Paul Twitchell or Sri Harold Klemp, can be found in 
  91.           most public and university libraries and some book stores, or 
  92.           obtained thru inter-library loan.  The book "ECKANKAR--THE 
  93.           KEY TO SECRET WORLDS", by Sri Paul Twitchell, is ANOTHER 
  94.           classic.

  96.                Many Christians are likely to confuse the Masters with 
  97.           the "Anti-Christ", which is or was to be a temporary world 
  98.           dictator during the so-called "last days".  But the Masters 
  99.           don't ever rule, even when asked or expected to do so as 
  100.           Jesus was. 
  101.     
  102.                People who continue following Christianity, Islam, or 
  103.           other orthodox religions with a physically DEAD Master, will 
  104.           CONTINUE on their cycles of REincarnation, between the 
  105.           psychic planes and this MISERABLE physical world, until they 
  106.           finally WISE UP!

  110.           RE-INCARNATION

  112.                The book "HERE AND HEREAFTER", by Ruth Montgomery, 
  113.           describes several kinds of evidence supporting REincarnation 
  114.           as a FACT OF LIFE, including HYPNOTIC REGRESSIONS to past 
  115.           lives, SPONTANEOUS RECALL (especially by young children, some 
  116.           of whom can identify their most recent previous relatives, 
  117.           homes, possessions, etc.), DREAM RECALL of past life experi-
  118.           ences, DEJA VU (familiarity with a far off land while travel-
  119.           ing there for the first time on vacation), the psychic read-
  120.           ings of the late EDGAR CAYCE, and EVEN SUPPORTING STATEMENTS 
  121.           FROM THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE including Matthew 17:11-13 (John the 
  122.           Baptist was the REINCARNATION of Elias.) and John 9:1-2 (How 
  123.           can a person POSSIBLY sin before he is born, unless he LIVED 
  124.           BEFORE?!).  [ ALWAYS use the "KING JAMES VERSION".  Later 
  125.           versions are PER-VERSIONS! ]  Strong INTERESTS, innate 
  126.           TALENTS, strong PHOBIAS, etc., typically originate from a 
  127.           person's PAST LIVES.  For example, a strong fear of swimming 
  128.           in or traveling over water usually results from having 
  129.           DROWNED at the end of a PREVIOUS LIFE.  And sometimes a 
  130.           person will take AN IMMEDIATE DISLIKE to another person being 
  131.           met for the first time, because of a bad encounter with him 
  132.           during a PREVIOUS INCARNATION.

  134.                The teaching of REincarnation also includes the LAW OF 
  135.           KARMA (Galatians 6:7, Revelation 13:10, etc.).  People would 
  136.           behave much better toward each other if they knew that their 
  137.           actions in the present will surely be reaped by them in the 
  138.           future, or in a FUTURE INCARNATION!

  142.           "2nd COMINGS"
  143.  
  144.                If a Perfect Living Master physically dies ("trans-
  145.           lates") before a particular Initiate of His does, then when 
  146.           that Initiate physically dies ("translates"), the Master will 
  147.           meet him on the Astral level and take him directly to the 
  148.           Soul Plane.  This is the ONE AND ONLY correct meaning of a 
  149.           2nd Coming.  It is an INDIVIDUAL experience, NOT something 
  150.           that happens for everyone all at once.  People who are still 
  151.           waiting for Jesus' "2nd Coming" are WAITING IN VAIN.

  155.           PLANES OF EXISTENCE
  156.  
  157.                The physical universe is the LOWEST of AT LEAST a DOZEN 
  158.           major levels of existence.  Above the Physical Plane is the 
  159.           Astral Plane, the Causal Plane, the Mental Plane, the Etheric 
  160.           Plane (often counted as the upper part of the Mental Plane), 
  161.           the Soul Plane, and several higher Spiritual Planes.  The 
  162.           Soul Plane is the FIRST TRUE HEAVEN, (counting upward from 
  163.           the Physical).  The planes between (but NOT including) the 
  164.           Physical and Soul Planes are called the Psychic Planes. 
  165.     
  166.                It is likely that ESP, telepathy, astrological 
  167.           influences, radionic effects, biological transmutations [See 
  168.           the 1972 book with that title.], and other phenomena without 
  169.           an apparent physical origin, result from INTERACTIONS between 
  170.           the Psychic Planes and the Physical Plane. 
  171.     
  172.                The major planes are also SUB-DIVIDED.  For example, a 
  173.           sub-plane of the Astral Plane is called "Hades", and the 
  174.           Christian Hell occupies a SMALL part of it, created there 
  175.           LESS THAN 2000 YEARS AGO by the EARLY CATHOLIC CHURCH by some 
  176.           kind of black magic or by simply teaching its existence in a 
  177.           THREATENING manner.  The Christian "Heaven" is located 
  178.           elsewhere on the Astral Plane.  Good Christians will go there 
  179.           for a short while and then REincarnate back to Earth.

  183.           SOUND CURRENT vs. BLIND FAITH
  184.  
  185.                The Christian religion demands of its followers an 
  186.           extraordinary amount of BLIND FAITH backed up by little more 
  187.           than GOOD FEELING (which is TOTALLY DECEIVING). 
  188.        
  189.                If a person is not HEARING some form of the "SOUND 
  190.           CURRENT" ("THE WORD", "THE BANI", "THE AUDIBLE LIFE STREAM"), 
  191.           then his cycles of REINCARNATION in this MISERABLE world WILL 
  192.           CONTINUE.

  194.                The "SOUND CURRENT" manifests differently for different 
  195.           Initiates, and can sound like a rushing wind, ocean waves on 
  196.           the sea shore, buzzing bees, higher-pitched buzzing sound, a 
  197.           flute, various heavenly music, or other sounds.  In Eckankar, 
  198.           Members start hearing it near the end of their first year as 
  199.           a Member.  This and other experiences (such as "SOUL TRAVEL") 
  200.           REPLACE blind faith.
