- Well.... It seems as if you are having a bit of a problem, huh? :-)
- I actually tried to grow it when I lived at home but was unsuccessful. I
- tried the same methods and had absoluetly no luck. I posted a couple of
- questions earlier about growing MJ. I gave the rest of my seeds to a FOAF
- who was going to attempt to grow it. He seems to have a nice group of plants
- growing, from what I was told. Let me give you a few suggestions and you can
- E-Mail me if you want specifics.
-
- 1) Go out and buy normal potting soil, and maybe some cactus soil also.
- 2) Wherever you have the plants(like a closet) put tin foil EVERYWHERE so
- that light is reflected everywhere and only absorbed by the plants.
- 3) Use a LOT of lighting, mainly Florescent (a FOAF uses a couple incandescent
- also for a little variety)
- 4) Keep those suckers WARM, and moist, and don't plant the seeds too deep.
- 5) Water them every day, preferably 2 times a day when you first start.
-
- DONT:
- 1) let the plants get too hot or cold
- 2) Don't let the plants or the soil dry out
-
- This is my suggestion to all the growers out there. I don't have the space
- to grow my own or I probably would, plus living in a dorm also doesn't
- exactly make it easy to get away with. A FOAF is doing it in a townhouse
- in a closet, and I think is having good luck. (we will see in a few months)
-
- I guess the amount of people that are growing it themselves seems to be growing
- and growing. Pot is expensive nowadays, and that is the only safe way to do
- it anymore! Good luck to all the people with "green thumbs" out there!
