  14. After reading a recent posting on MDMA, I was struck by the similarity
  15. of the reported effects of this drug with the effects I have experienced
  16. after eating mushrooms of the Psylocybe(spel?) species.

  18. The initial rush, 'euphoria', insights and duration of these effects seems to
  19. correspond almost exactly.  However, the article on MDMA stated that
  20. MDMA has a low visual distortion factor, unlike the mushies.
  21.  
  22. I wonder if any research has been done on MDMA vs. psylocibin.  MDMA is known
  23. to be neurotoxic -- perhaps the similar effects of these drugs also
  24. means similar side-effects such as toxicity.
