- I have written a news threader (like that for trn) that creates a
- thread file in the specified directories. I've beaten on it pretty
- heavily and it appears to be relatively immune to problems. I'm
- looking for someone who has a reasonable unthreaded news reader (I
- haven't seen any threaded ones) that's interested in making use of my
- threader.
-
- The executable and documentation is available to anyone; the
- source is available to the authors of newsreaders. The output is a
- plain text file - I can provide routines to recreate the thread
- structure in memory, or even to do all the thread manipulation and
- call your browser when the appropriate file has already been opened.
-
- The threader is straightforward to use. You specify one or more
- directories, specify whether directory recursion is to be used (can
- be turned on and off), and specify whether it should report what it's
- doing (verbose mode). It can also be set to purge old threads (a
- thread with no current articles).
-
- If you're interested, please contact me via email (make sure the
- reply-to hasn't been munged (see the .sig). This site receives
- alt.bbs.waffle, but not comp.bbs.waffle (sigh - it's an upstream
- problem).
-
- P.S. I'm also interested in a reasonable mailer to go along with
- that reader. Am I asking too much?
