- I used to call the NY Transfer BBS because at the time they were the only
- local outlet for the Fidonet shortwave echo.

- on the bottom of echoed messages originating from their system) with such
- friendly messages as "DEATH TO THE BRITISH" without user's knowledge
- or consent. After being barraged with hate mail from users of other systems
- resulting from something we could not even control, the NY Transfer was
- abandoned for friendlier systems.
