  39. I accept that. However, when I look at mystical practices, I am not impressed
  40. that methods of for instance, sensory deprivation, hyperventilation, lack of
  41. food, pain, etc., makes people think they have seen god. Especially when it
  42. stops hurting.

  44. It can be that they have a overwhelming experience, but simply it because it
  45. was so overwhelming, people forget to make reality checks because noone cares
  46. for objectivity after such an experience.

  48. The only objectivity I see is that I might have such an experience myself.
  49. But the way to it is hard, and it looks as if the experience would impair
  50. my reasoning quality and therefore the quality of my life.

  52. It can be that I wouldn't care then anymore, but the analogy to hard drugs
  53. is too clear in my eyes.
