  16. Several weeks ago, I publicly bet Mark Mitchell that 'Bama would lose to Miami
  17. in the Sugar Bowl by at least 14 points. Well, I was quite wrong, as we all
  18. know, and must admit that Mark's assessment of the game was simply much, much
  19. more on taregt than mine.

  21. Basically, I really thought that Miami would be able to run the ball more like
  22. they did against FSU and PSU than the way they did against Arizona. When that
  23. didn't happen, the team was doomed.

  25. Congrats to Alabama for the MNC, especially since I grew tired of the trash-
  26. talking style of the 'Canes several years ago. This is one public bet I don't
  27. mind losing at all.

  29. My humble apologies for such a wildly off-center guess as to the games outcome.
  30. Next time I feel the urge to predict a blowout, I'll try to at least pick the
  31. winning team correctly :-;
