This is an easy one really. What is happening here is that Nureyev had more fun than most people. The same with Freddy Mercury. There is something in most      peoples psycies that just hate it when some one is having more fun/better sex/  greater life than they are. Its jealousy pure and simple. Its childish, immatureand irrational, but also so human. Most people can't see the simple fact that   they can do all those things too.
