  35. I would encourage you to hang in there -- others can speak more directly
  36. about the women's communities than I, but my impression is there is
  37. a wide range of attitides towards bis, among both lesbians and gay men.

  39. Lesbian feminism has handed down a greater tendency to put this in
  40. ideological terms, (though I think this tends to rationalize myths 
  41. about bis more than develop a factual analysis.)

  43. Communicating about being bi seems to me to call for a lot of "both/and"
  44. messages to an "either/or" world.
