- Since I am a German I believe it's possible for me to throw my two pence
- into this discussion.
- "Ansatz" is really a german word and it is used eg. if you have an
- differential equation and chose some function to solve it (possibly
- a good guess with some free parameters).
- We use it especially as "Loesungsansatz" that is solution-"ansatz"
- I think it is drifted into english science vocabulary like others,
- eg. "eigen-value".
