  11. I am no longer actively involved in physics, although my degrees are in the
  12. field.  I am now a software engineer, but like to keep up with developments in
  13. physics as best I can.

  15. This notes group is a joke!  There are more postings here each day then on
  16. the rec.arts.startrek groups ... come on , we're talking physics here ... there
  17. can't be that much new, interesting stuff each day!  I don't like to have
  18. to sort out the crackpot stuff from the interesting news.  I would welcome 
  19. a moderated conference to filter out the junk ... but I would hope
  20. that interesting news is not filtered out as being to low level for a
  21. "research" news group.  I hope the moderators will keep in mind those of us
  22. who only browse this group and are not working physicists and not overly
  23. restrict the postings ... just filter out the crackpots.
