  35. While in general I agree with your response to the simplistic and
  36. uncritical view expressed above, the view you express here is also
  37. a bit simplistic.  For example, it appears to leave no room for the
  38. existence of a phenomenon that is anomalous with respect to the
  39. current theory, thus prohibiting theory change (also, apparently,
  40. making it unnecessary!).
