  10. At one time, I was under the impression that Bott and Artin had won the
  11. Fields Medal. It seems I'm wrong. Can someone confirm or deny?

  13. This impression is associated with one of those stories. I understand
  14. Artin, Atiyah, and Bott were the first three at the math tripos one year
  15. at Oxford (1950?). Apparently it made quite an impression.
