  17. I would like to gather information regarding some of the more 
  18. interesting work done by applied mathematicians in industry and 
  19. in academia.

  21. I am especially interested in users of tools such as Mathematica, 
  22. Maple, Matlab, et. al. in visualization, modeling, and data analysis work.

  24. I welcome all responses, but am curious about the following areas:
  25.      medical research
  26.      image processing (esp. fractals)
  27.      space, aeronautics
  28.      weather forecasting
  29.      physics (esp. lasers)
  30.      signal processing
  31.      information theory
