- We would appreciate ANY info RE: a material and/or process to seal (from water
- absorption) and also electrically insulate a piezo-electric ceramic crystal,
- to be used for Ultrasonic flaw detection in hostile environment:
- -Lithiated heavy water (Ph-10) at 300ò C, 1500psi. (10MPa)
- -High radiation fields (>1 Mrads gamma + neutrons)
-
- __repost NEW:
- Material used must be inorganic since organics do not survive the radiation
- fields.
- Ceramic adhesive & sealants do not lend themselves well to this assembly. We
- are
- thinking along the lines of using sputtering or some such process to acheive
- the
- adherence neccessary.
