- I agree with the above assessment of Kailath's book with the following
- addenda. It is a great reference book, it is good for people with a
- good background in system theory already, if you were to teach an
- advanced undergrad or introductory grad course, Kailath's book assumes
- a tad too much in terms of background. Georgia Tech used Kailath
- when I took the course, I hated the book then, but have grown to appreciate
- the insights and richness of his treatment now. The book that they use
- now is Brogan, which I think is better suited to the beginning grad
- school audience.
