- While torturing a flux gate compass kit with a REALLY strong magnet
- (within 1 or 2 inches of the Dinsmore fluxgate device), I managed to
- change its idea of north to east (it points east now).

- I could have magnetized ferrous parts on the pc board and in the case
- of the battery, but is there any other way I could have damaged the
- flux gate device? Does it have a bias field that it must maintain that
- I could have buggered with a very strong field?
