- The rust killers all seem to based on phosphoric acid; the paintable ones
- are phosphoric acid in a latex base.

- They do not penetrate very far. They are suitable for light surface rust,
- but deep pits or rust deposits will not be fully converted. These should
- be taken care of mechanically, with the rust killer used to passivate any
- small pits, etc.
