  13.  The rust killers all seem to based on phosphoric acid; the paintable ones
  14. are phosphoric acid in a latex base.

  16.  They do not penetrate very far. They are suitable for light surface rust, 
  17. but deep pits or rust deposits will not be fully converted. These should
  18. be taken care of mechanically, with the rust killer used to passivate any
  19. small pits, etc.
