- The stuff about the breakout box deals with the computer itself, not
- the STAR connector. That is, you would use a breakout box between
- the computer and its connector, if you wanted to test the different
- pins on the computer while it is plugged in.

- The computer's connector is completely different than the STAR
- (diagnostic) connector. I routinely hook the VOM to the STAR
- connector according to the books and have had no problem with
- damage to the computer or reading the codes.
