  12. Thanks to all who pointed me in the write direction in being able
  13. to read out the fault codes from the computer.  I found the Chilton book
  14. that talks about how to do it with an analog voltmeter.  However,
  15. they also make clear that Ford claims a breakout box is needed otherwise
  16. connecting straight to the computer connector will guarantee a computer
  17. failure. Is this true?  Has anybody connected straight to the computer
  18. connector with out a breakout/interface box?
