- The squeeking may be due to a change in the material used to make the
- brake linings. I remember reading an article that mentioned a change from
- asbestos to some other material for health reasons. If your rotors/drums
- were engineered for use with asbestos linings and now your brake linings
- are made of some other material this might cause the chatter.
