- Be sure that there is plenty of coolant in the system. When you
- initially filled the system, the t-stat was closed. Air trapped in the
- block could have fooled you into believing that the system was full, even
- if it wasn't.

- Now that the thermostat has opened and closed a few times, it might
- have lowered the level in the radiator. To remove any more air in the system,
- run the engine without the radiator cap until the level drops, then fill it
- up and replace the cap. That should do it. For more reassurance, open the
- system at the highest point on the engine (usually a hose or plug in the
- head) and let any air out.
