- I noticed postings of late on phl.misc. What does the topic of communism have
- to do with Philadelphia? I am a relatively new Usenet newsgroup reader and I
- have quickly come to see that cross postings are common and often senseless.
- This is too bad. This common crossposting of stuff is really degrading a great
- medium with lots of potential yet to be realized. The frequent postings to
- newsgroups of long-winded messages concerning topics not relevent to a part-
- cular newsgroup is also a problem which greatly degrades the utility and the
- quality of this medium. Will we ever see postings on phl.misc or any of the
- phl.* groups which do concern Philadelphia and Philadelphians? Thanks.
