- I'm in the BMG club, and several years ago I sent them a letter that
- informed them that, since I had taken advantage of next to none of their
- "specials of the month" offers, I would like the default option on the
- monthly mailing to be "don't send me anything." They complied -- it's
- really nice!

- I also joined the "two free for life" deal several years back, and it's
- paid off well. Be careful, though... if you don't order anything for about
- 6 months, they'll send you little cards that inform you that you'll be
- dropped as a member if you don't send them the card back! After about 4 of
- these cards, they got the message that I was NOT about to just go away and
- die, and they haven't bothered sending me any more little cards since.
