- I saw an add in the Complete Crutchfield catalog for the Powermid
- Remote Control Extender. It is a two piece device that converts
- IR remote control commands to radio and transmits to a receiver
- that converts the radio back to IR and sends to the unit being
- controlled. It lists for $49.95 for the set and $29.95 for each
- additional piece. This seems alot cheaper than the Onkyo and Pioneer
- solution for multi-room remotes. Alot easier to install also
- since there are no cables to run. Does anyone know anything about
- this? Is this one of those new-fangled gadgets that is more a
- pipe-dream than reality?
-
- Thanks in advance
