- Piece of cake! Remove the screws from the underside. Slice the
- back label with a sharp edge. With the tape right-side-up, push
- in on the little button near the door and separate the shell
- carefully. Make a note of how the tape passes through the
- guides.

- On the empty reel, locate the plastic "wedge" that holds the
- tape to the hub. It may be loose inside the case; looks like a
- flattened Ω. Use a pair of needlenose pliers to clip the clear
- leader back to the reel.

- Note: The clear leader is a MUST. It is this that keeps your VCR
- from doing what your rewinder did.
