  21.         Piece of cake! Remove the screws from the underside. Slice the
  22.         back label with a sharp edge. With the tape right-side-up, push
  23.         in on the little button near the door and separate the shell
  24.         carefully. Make a note of how the tape passes through the
  25.         guides.

  27.         On the empty reel, locate the plastic "wedge" that holds the
  28.         tape to the hub. It may be loose inside the case; looks like a
  29.         flattened Ω. Use a pair of needlenose pliers to clip the clear
  30.         leader back to the reel.

  32.         Note: The clear leader is a MUST. It is this that keeps your VCR
  33.         from doing what your rewinder did.
