- NiCads are great for photoflashes, but make sure you have a second pair.
- It seems that NiCads dump their energy quicker than alkalines. This results
- in quicker "cycle" times for the flash. (A very compelling reason to use
- NiCads in flashes, versus other types of batteries.) The downside is that
- NiCads do not taper off when they get weak, like other types of batteries --
- they just pretty much flat-out quit. You don't get the warning you do with
- other types, i.e. longer and longer cycle times. For this reason, if you
- depend on your flash, keep a second pair handy and charged.

- Does it have a flash? It may then be related to the above reason. The
- batteries give another change, then they're spent and can't advance the motor.
- Then, installing new batteries may confuse the camera. Did it just take a
- picture and should advance or not? Maybe the dump rate it too fast for the
- flash? This is all just conjecture, though.
