- My wife recently received a book club promo packet for technical books. Before
- jumping in, I wanted to get some kind of a consensus about either the books
- being offered OR the book club.
-
- The club is apparently the 'Library of Computer and Information Sciences, A
- Newbridge Book Club'. Has anyone ever heard of it before? Any bad experiences?
-
- As part of their 'introductory offer', we can get the following books for $4.95:
-
- _Exploring Requirements Quality BEFORE Design_ by D.C. Gause & G.M. Weinberg
- _Object-Oriented Analysis_ by Peter Coad & Edward Yourdon
- _Walkthroughs, Inspections, and Technical Reviews_ by D.P. Freedman & G.M.
- Weinberg
-
-
- Without being able to physically look at the books, I have no idea if this is a
- reasonable offer. Are (any) of these books any good? Should I save my $4.95
- and get something in a regular book store?
-
-
- Thanks in advance for any help.
