- ******** WORLD VIEW MAGAZINE LOOKING FOR OUTSIDE CONTACTS ********
- ******** NEW INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SERVER GOES ONLINE ********

- AUSTIN, TX (WV) - The World View Magazine, an underground publication
- distributed by Fennec Information Systems in Austin, Texas is currently
- seeking individuals and/or organizations to be remote distribution points
- of access. (bureaus). The publication covers topics ranging from politics,
- to cyberspace issues, to editorials, and so on. The World View is well into
- it's second year of monthly distributions. With the coming of a new year,
- plans of expansion are dancing in their heads. Thus the reason for this
- release. Fennec Information Systems is currently looking for individuals
- or organizations to devote a minimal amount of time for writing, editing,
- distribution, and information gathering. The plan calls for at least three
- bureaus in various parts of the United States, and at least one office in
- some other part of the world. These are turbulent times in cyberspace, and
- the need for information grows. There are several reasons for this plan.
- One reason for the project is to be able to provide information to those
- individuals who do not have access to the Internet, those who may have
- accounts on smaller bulletin board systems that do not ultimately have any
- connection to the Internet. Other reasons include expanding the reader-base,
- gain access to other sources of information, and to educate the masses of
- the goings-on in cyberspace. Any feedback is appreciated. If you are
- interested in taking part in this colossal effort, please mail:
- wv-exp93@fennec.com. An info form and other information will be
- sent in return mail within one hour of your request being recieved. Specific
- cities being targeted for expansion are San Diego, New York, Boston, Detroit,
- Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Houston, Cleveland,
- Atlanta, Miami, and St. Louis. Although it is almost sure that all of these
- cities will not join in on the project, some of them already have. You do
- NOT have to live in or near any of the listed cities in order to take part
- in this expansion effort. If you wish to take part, once again, send mail
- to this address: wv-exp93@fennec.com
-
- The following items might be of help when deciding to apply for the expansion:
-
- Are you:
-
- 1) The System Operator of a BBS?
- 2) Familiar with the electronic publications currently in distribution?
- 3) Able to write/obtain information from computer enthusiasts in your area?
- 4) Accessible via Voice and/or Data number?
-
- Your answers will not affect our decision!
-
- A mandatory requirment:
-
- ** Must have Internet mailing address. **
-
- With the help of some of you out there, WV will be able to expand their
- horizons. If you are interested, please send mail stating your interest in
- this project to the following: wv-exp93@fennec.com

- ============================================================================
-
- NEW INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SERVER ESTABLISHED AT FENNEC INFORMATION SYSTEMS.
-
- ============================================================================
-
- On January 4, 1992, a new information server will go online at Fennec I.S.
- The server's purpose is to make it possible to fulfill all the request for
- back issues of the World View Magazine, as well as other documents. The
- server's name is 'wv-serv.fennec.com' The server will accept incoming
- requests for documents via electronic mail, and mail them back out within
- one hour. With the overwhelming amount of requests for back issues of the
- World View as well as other underground publications, it has become
- impossible for the System Administrators to provide the amount of
- information requested. So, to make the load easier on everyone, the
- 'worldview server' has been established. All back issues of the World View
- will be online as of 06:00 hrs central time. Other publications will
- become available over the next 6 to 8 weeks. This will provide users
- without direct IP access an alternative, easy way to get some of the more
- popular publications. For documentation on how to use this procedure,
- as well as a list of files available, send electronic mail to the following
- address:
- wv-serv@fennec.com
-
- Any technical questions regarding this server, it's operation,
- availablity, etc...should be directed to the following address:

- wv-tech@fennec.com
