- Whenever I use gnus, then subsequently use trn (when I want to read a
- newsgroup that has several hundred articles and don't have twenty
- spare minutes to watch them all get threaded), trn complains about my
- .newsrc, and spends several minutes doing something, I don't know
- what. No other news reader that I have used seems to provoke this.
- Anyone have any idea what's happening here?
-
- Also, any insight into what is going on when I try to read a newsgroup
- and the threading phase barfs with the message, "symbol's value as
- variable is void: THRU"? This only happens with some newsgroups, and
- trn seems to have no trouble with them.
