  16. Well, now that i bothered everyone, here's the problem:

  18. Almost a year after I created my ptyp's and ttyp's, I have finally
  19. noticed that I had them swapped.  It used to work fine that way, but
  20. certainly applications were working worse and worse, and it
  21. corresponded to changes in the pty code under linux.  I kept
  22. suspecting that I had problems with them, but I kept checking the
  23. permissions, and they were right, and I knew that the minor number
  24. series started with 128 and 192, and that seemed right, so I never
  25. noticed that I had them BACKWARDS...
  26.  
  27. Duh..... <bang> <bang> <crunch>  "Micheal, stop hitting your head
  28. against the wall.  You're damaging it!  ...  No, the wall!  Your head
  29. is hard enough..." <grin>
