- I've been trying to get an X server up under 386BSd on my
- Tandy notebook pc. Both the X386 and the X386mono servers clear
- the screen, then exit with a return code of 1, but print the same output
- as if I had run them with the -showconfig option:
-
- # X386
- XFree86 Version 1.1 /X Window System
- (protocol Version 11, revision 0 vender release 5000)
- Configured drivers:
- VGA256 (256 colour SVGA):
- et4000, e63000, pvga1, gvga, ati, tvga80900
- # echo $?
- 1

- If there was an error message or something, I might have a guess what to
- change, but...
-
- The system appears to have some sort of hideous Cirrus Everything-on-1-chip
- chip that I think is doing the video; its a grey scale LCD display.
- (the chip is labeled CIRRUS LOGIC GC-GD6410-320C-A). The video BIOS
- copyright is GL-GD6410 BIOS/CIRRUS.
-
- If anyone can point me at a config option I need to fix, or at drivers
- specifically for the CIRRUS chipset, I'd be most thankful.
