- You should also look at /usr/spool/lp/log to see if there are any
- messages that will help identify the problem. This is
- particularly useful when the printer doesn't work when the system
- is rebooted. I've found whole directories missing from the
- /usr/spool/lp hierarchy after an abrupt shutdown, and this
- logfile had entries relating to the missing directories.
