  29. You should also look at /usr/spool/lp/log to see if there are any
  30. messages that will help identify the problem.  This is
  31. particularly useful when the printer doesn't work when the system
  32. is rebooted.  I've found whole directories missing from the
  33. /usr/spool/lp hierarchy after an abrupt shutdown, and this
  34. logfile had entries relating to the missing directories.
