- I hope the following will answer all your questions you may have concerning
- the problem you mentionned.
-
-
- What systems are affected :
-
- - All ULTRIX 4.3 systems running DECnsr.
-
- - Any systems running ULTRIX 4.2A with the tcp_output.o patch.
- (The tcp_output.o patch was retracted by the CSC some time ago,
- but some 4.2A systems continue to run it.)
-
- How the problem affects the system :
-
- - The problem can hang or crash the system.
-
- When the problem occurs:
-
- - The problem occurs when a DECnsr user terminates an active save or
- recover session, either by issuing the nsr_shutdown command or
- by killing DECnsr daemons.
-
- Current workaround :
-
- - DECnsr users whose systems are affected by the problem should avoid using
- the nsr_shutdown command or killing any DECnsr daemons while a DECnsr
- save or recover session has I/O activity.
